The Mike Miller State Park is a lovely small park located south of Newport, Oregon on Route 101.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Go 1.2 miles south of Newport on ROUTE 101.

2. Just past the Newport Business Plaza, turn LEFT. There will be a large brown sign on the right, Mike Miller Educational area.

3. Go a short distance down this road, and park on the left near the trailhead.

4. Pick up a trail map at the kiosk.

5. Bear right at the first junction. The trail winds up and down and around through sitka spruce and salal.

6. At #15, turn RIGHT and go downhill to a wildlife viewing platform at a small dried up creek..

7. Go down to the viewing platform. Go to the far left corner and look under the Troll Bridge in the direction form which you came. Watch out for the prickly bushes. Your treasure will be there.

8. Stamp in and rehide carefully.

9. Enjoy exploring the rest of this small natural area.
